ALONE does not star Jacks. It features Jaclyn.

Hi everyone! It's Jaclyn.
.
Most people know me as Jacks. I am a hustler, a social butterfly, the jokester, and a leader. Jacks is the woman who puts her hair up, gets things done, makes people laugh, lives in the dirt, and is a person of service. But underneath this armor, there is Jaclyn. She is the woman who leads with her heart and not her head. Jaclyn is the woman who lets her hair down, lets her emotions out, follows the call of the wild, leans into curiosity, and believes that the universe has your back.
.
When presented with the opportunity to willfully immerse myself in the wild unknown for an undetermined amount of time, I went in thinking that this would be the perfect stage for Jacks. I am no stranger to being alone far removed from society. But this new stage was something different; there was no end date. I had to live in connection with nature in union and the only way to push through the darkness was to surrender. I took advantage of this time to put aside my ego and not wear a mask anymore. While I know I am a strong, skilled, and talented woman, Jaclyn is the more softer, vulnerable, yet still fiery woman who leads by being and not by doing. While on Alone, it didn't take long for the "main act" to shift and it became the better platform for Jaclyn.
.
For those of you who know me, and are now seeing a different side of me, I make no apologies for not being the person you thought you knew. I make no apologies for not hiding behind my skills. I make no apologies for being a "sobbing mess" who stumbles. I bravely chose to let the viewer into my world and for you to meet who I really am and not what I am. I am someone who chooses to feel truly, madly, and deeply than conform to a world that is designed to be numb. I move with purpose in a way filled with resilience, compassion, and a childlike wonder that follows her heart. To these friends and family who know me, you are all always welcome to my fire.
.
Now for those you who don't know me. You are welcome to my fire too, but before you visit I ask that you look at yourself in the mirror and, "Dwell not on the faults and shortcomings of others; instead, seek clarity about your own. [Buddha]" See you there.
